Arpley Meadows, Warrington

This development on 42 hectares of land will be one of the most important mixed use development areas to the south west of Warrington town centre. The vision includes an urban village with employment opportunities creating a new community with a wide range of residential types from high rise apartments to family housing. The river frontage offers a superb opportunity for waterfront development with riverside walks leading to adjacent parkland. New infrastructure will reflect sustainable connections to the town centre and its railway and bus connections. Significant ground problems have to be addressed and other major constraints will have to be overcome before development can commence and given the estimated ground treatment period of three years, development is over five years away.

Peel in the meantime are making a significant contribution to a universal Warrington multi-modal transport study, orchestrated by Warrington, in order to help progress the above development.
