This unique £76 million additional shopping facility, which took 13 months to build, opened in March 2008 is dedicated completely to the sale of homeware goods.

Barton Square consists of a vast open piazza, sumptuous Italianate fountains and columns and a soaring campanile. The Square was exclusively designed as a homes and interiors destination to entice people not just from the Greater Manchester area but from further afield, it is one of a kind. Retailers at Barton Square include the world’s largest Marks & Spencer Home, the first HomeSense store in the North, the first Natuzzi store in the North West, as well as British HOME Stores, Next Home and Habitat. Moreover, the tri-branded Moben Sharps and Dolphin store in Barton Square will become the national flag-ship store for the three brands.
