Ince Resource Recovery Park
Peel has proposed the Ince Resource Recovery Park, a modern, clean and sustainable industrial park that is
focussed on the reprocessing and re-manufacturing of waste materials with the efficient use of energy and
natural resources. The proposals include a 95MW Refuse Derived Fuel power plant which would provide heat and
electricity to the park, adjacent business and the national grid.
These proposals, on 51 hectares of land will create a new Port at Ince, providing around 180,000 square metres
of built development and will include new rail and canal berthing infrastructure to enable multi–modal transport
options to be provided for occupiers.
We are awaiting a decision from the Secretary of State and if approved, Peel will deliver major sustainable waste
and energy benefits for the North West.
