Warrington Quays
Warrington Quays will see the creation of two high-quality riverside and canalside residential areas
linked by a new linear park and nature reserve to serve and benefit the local community.
The development will consist of 300 new homes that will be a mixture of family housing and high
quality apartments.
The green credentials of the proposals and their emphasis on high-quality development provide a
benchmark and the new park will secure and improve the future of the status of this site which has
been designated as a “Site of Importance for Nature Conservation”. It will also be an important
linkage between existing under-used green spaces such as the Wilderspool Community Woodland and
Morley Common. Peel has committed itself to a 30 year maintenance plan to ensure that the quality
and benefits of the Park are not transient, but persist within the locality.
